Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I am so sad to hear of Dana's passing. We often got together for coffee after dropping Avery and Noah off at school, and for the kid's birthday parties. She cared for and loved her family so much, and we enjoyed chatting about our kids, and school, and offered support and advice as we were all wading through parenting during the early years together. Dana was also so great at crocheting and I loved seeing what she was creating as she often brought along her work during the mom get togethers. Sending my deepest condolences to Avery, and the rest of the family- she will always be with you all. I am thinking of you during this difficult time. • So sorry to hear of Dana's passing. My condolences to you and your family. - Posted by: Michael Haddad (Friend of james) on: Jun 13, 2026

  • Dana was one of my instructors at Red River College. I remember one class evening when she brought her daughter Avery with her (can’t remember if it was due to child care issues or if Avery was a little under the weather). In any case, since I love children, I hung out more with Avery than attending class. We had a great time colouring and chatting about life in general🤣 Dana inspired me to continue with my education and pursue my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of her untimely passing. - Posted by: Fiona Innes-Smith (former student) on: Jun 13, 2026

  • We're so Sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. Dana was truly a remarkable person and achieved a lot during her short life. We've known her since she was a child having been life long friends with her parents (Jim and Helena). Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Bill and Barbara Baluk (Friends) on: Jun 13, 2026

  • I am so sad to read this. Passing on sincere condolences to her family. She left a lasting impression on me, and I am sure all of her students at red river. The best teacher I have ever known. - Posted by: Gwen Bryson (Student at RR.) on: Jun 13, 2026
